Basic Information about Child Soldiers

Across the world actual Children are used as soldiers. There are approximately 300,000 child soldiers spread throughout the world. To date over 12 million children have died during this fight. These children must defend men who are much too coward to fight for themselves. Most children are also very innocent and are pulled into war zones unwillingly, sometimes never to return to their families. Children mostly between the ages of 13 and 18 are used as Child Soldiers. Some have been as young as nine years old. These children are put into horrible situations, defending their captures, some include government-backed paramilitary groups, militias and self-defense units operating in many conflict zones.
