The children of Child Soldiering must go through horrendous torture to survive. First they are taken from their homes. Along with this their only line of defense is the gun they are given. Some children must also face the reality of war the very young age of 8. Most are starved and beaten. They are not given health care after they have come back from fighting. After this they are very often left to die. Between the ages of 8 and 18 children are taken from their home, some willingly but most often forced to leave. They rarely see their families again. Also becoming a Child Soldier, Children are often forced to make a greatest decision of their life, kill their family or be killed. Why do these Children go through such horrible circumstances? Can the their lives be changed?
